CDC and heath department guidelines still require individuals to wear a mask even after being vaccinated for COVID 19. If you have been vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask when you enter our office for the safety of our staff and patients.
Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) came forward to advise that dental treatment should be delayed in areas where COVID 19 transmission is high. Here at our practice, we know that this recent recommendation can cause some anxiety and can make you think twice about visiting the dentist. We would like to assure you that we are taking many precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. The office is taking many steps to stay safe, especially with aerosols that can be generated by dental work. To help control the aerosols, we have medical grade air filters in the treatment areas, plus an extraoral suction machine near the patients mouth to capture aerosols that are generated.
Maintaining regular dental checkups is the best way to keep ahead of issues that could cause an acute dental emergency. So far there have been no documented incidents of COVID being spread by a dental office. The American Dental Association (ADA) has recently responded to the WHO recommendation. We would like you to be fully educated on this topic.
