Dr. Donald Arima
Dr. Donald Arima grew up in McCleary and attended high school in Elma.
(He was inducted into the Elma High School Hall of Fame in 2004). He
graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biology, and subsequently
earned his D.D.S. degree from the University
of Washington School of Dentistry in 1981.
Dr. Arima has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education programs,
including work at three prestigious programs:
- PAC-Live (Pacific-Aesthetic) Continuum, with a concentration
in functional anterior and posterior restorations and full mouth rehabilitation
aesthetics

Dental Boot Kamp: dentistry’s most intensive and comprehensive
patient communication training continuum
- John C. Kois, D.M.D. Continuum Center for Advanced Dental Learning
Dr. Arima has actively participated in several professional
organizations, including the Grays Harbor District Dental Society, the Washington
State Dental Association, and the Northwest Asian-American Dentists
Seminar. He is also a member of the Dental
Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), the Pierre Fauchard
Academy, the Crown
Council of Dentistry, and the University of Washington School of
Dentistry Dean’s

Dr. Arima has served as an officer and a member of the Elma-McCleary
Lions Club and of the Olympia chapter of the Japanese-American Citizens
League. He is currently a member of the McCleary Chamber of Commerce.
Amy Lee | Treatment Coordinator
Amy's friendly smile will be the first to greet
you when you walk through the door. In
fact, meeting
new patients and making them feel welcome is her favorite part of her
job. Patients have commented on her cheerful personality and
comforting presence.
Amy is responsible for scheduling
appointments, helping patients
with financial
arrangements,
and handling collections and insurance billings.
Amy attended dental assistant school for three years and has worked
in the field for 15-plus years as a dental assistant. The last seven
years she’s also worked at the front desk. She has attended Dental
Boot Kamp, a continuing education program for dental assistants.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys gardening and scrapbooking.
Jennifer Scheel | Dental Assistants
Jennifer plays a key role in making our patients' visits smooth and
relaxing. She talks with patients while preparing them for treatment,
answering any questions they may have. She pays special attention to
the details when getting our treatment room ready, taking x-rays and
logging
information into patient charts. She assists Dr. Arima
during dental procedures and patients can
feel confident they are in good hands.
Jennifer graduated from Bryman College in 2001 on the Directors’ honor
roll. She had three years experience at Sea Mar Community Health before
joining our office.
Her interests include horseback riding, riding motorcycles, hiking and
gardening.
Megan Totten | Dental Hygienist
Megan is the primary preventive practitioner
in our office, responsible for teaching patients about good oral
hygiene. She examines patients’ teeth and gums, records the presence
of disease, removes calculus, stains and plaque from teeth and performs
root debridement (deep cleaning). She takes and develops x-rays,
applies
cavity preventive agents, administers anesthetic and places restoration.
She also works with Dr. Arima to develop long term treatment plans
for patients.
Megan earned her A.S. degree from Gray Harbor Community College, and
her A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene from Yakima Valley Community College. She
has taken several hours of continuing dental education, including three
Dental Boot Kamps.
Kellie Sanaski | Dental Assistant
Kellie's skill and outgoing personality put even the most nervous patients
at ease. Sitting chairside during treatment, she can anticipate Dr.
Arima's needs. She is very knowledgeable
and
is always happy to take extra time with patients to address any concerns.
In addition, she takes, processes and
mounts x-rays, and takes impressions.
Kellie is a graduate of the dental assistant program at Bates
Vocational School.
She enjoys gardening and sewing.
